The primary aim of this Surrender Program is not to acquire animals for free but to uphold our responsibility in the community by offering a much-needed solution for individuals needing to surrender their animals. We are committed to accepting any animal we have previously sold, regardless of their condition. For animals not originally sold by Roonami, we will assess these situations individually.
All funds generated from surrendered animals are specifically allocated to cover their associated veterinary expenses and general care with us. Funds received through these adoptions are reinvested directly into the surrender program to ensure its sustainability for the community.
This program also supports our Evacuation Program for those displaced by wildfires and flooding. We provide complimentary boarding for evacuated reptiles and small animals. We donate temporary enclosures for those who can keep their reptile but were unable to bring their terrarium.
