Live Arrival Guarantee and Returns Policy
100% Live Arrival Guarantee

All animals are guaranteed to arrive healthy and alive. We never ship animals that have not had time to settle or eat. 

  • The live arrival guarantee will be voided if you are not home to receive the animal(s) at first delivery attempt.

  • Change of address by the purchaser after shipping voids the guarantee. Delays are sometimes possible due to carrier issues and we pack the animals based on this possibility. The purchaser will be provided a tracking number and will be responsible for checking the status of delivery. We cannot be responsible for carrier delays and the guarantee will be void if delayed.

  • The purchaser is responsible for the husbandry after they take possession of the animal(s). We have no control over care once the animal(s) is in the possession of the customer.

  • If there are any concerns with the purchase we must be notified within 1 hour from the delivery time as entered according to the tracking number.

  • In the event of a dead on arrival (DOA), we will replace the animal(s) or offer a substitute of equal value if a replacement can’t be given.

  • We cannot be held responsible for shipping charges incurred for upholding our guarantee; they are the responsibility of the purchaser.

  • The purchaser MUST notify us immediately and provide photographic evidence of any DOA or visibly unhealthy. If we do not hear from the purchaser within 1 hour of the animal(s) being received, we will assume the animal(s) have arrived alive and in good health.
Returns & Refunds


No refunds or returns accepted. We may choose to offer in store credit before the order ships or is picked up.

Product Warranties

Any product warranty must be handled directly by the manufacturer of said product. Roonami expresses no guarantee or warranty for products we do not manufacture.

General Terms

Please be aware of your own local wildlife laws and regulations. No shipments will be knowingly sent in violation of any provincial or city bylaws. We cannot keep up with bylaws outside of our own city, so it is the purchaser’s responsibility to know the laws in the Purchaser's area and to abide by them.


We reserve the right to ask for ID before shipping any order. For fraud prevention reasons we are not able to change the shipping address on an order after it is placed. An order must be submitted again if the purchaser wishes to ship to a different shipping address and that shipping address must be specified on the new order. The billing address and shipping address must match or the order may not be sent out at our discretion to prevent fraud.


We are not responsible for any veterinary expenses or costs incurred by the buyer for any animal. If you take any animal to a veterinarian, you do so entirely at your own expense. Please bring any issues to our attention within 1 hour of arrival or inspection in store before leaving. Roonami will never knowingly sell an animal that is sick, unhealthy or not eating. The exclusion to this is any animal sold as 'special needs' and the conversation was held between 'Roonami' and 'the purchaser' beforehand for its requirement.

What is a preorder?

A preorder is for any item or livestock that is available to us but we need to order it.
Payment is required in full before your order is confirmed.





This is non-refundable if you change your mind. If there are any delays beyond 1 instance (not including weather), we will offer you the option to cancel with the deposit refund, store credit or continue waiting. 


Preorder pets are listed when we see them first become available. Pricing and availability may differ from what is listed due to age, supplier, etc for these so please reach out for confirmation. Photos and sex is not always available. Sometimes there is a fee or increased price from our supplier/breeders to sex a specific animal.

There are delays around holidays or weather. We ask for your patience during these times and remember we are taking the animal's health as our first priority. We do not allow animals to sit in shipping depots over the weekend. Instead, they would wait in their enclosure, being fed, heated, watered, and in the proper environment until the following week to ship.

Do you have more pictures or videos?

Yes, we would be happy to send you any pictures or videos of anything in stock!

We post almost daily on our Instagram feed and Facebook so please follow and turn on notifications for both for lots of cute pictures!

Unfortunately, preorder items may not be available for this. For high value animals such as high color bearded dragons or other animals with unique traits, we may be able to request for serious buyers only. 

Many animals are nocturnal so they may not act normally when we turn on the lights and try to capture them at night. We want forever homes with healthy animals. We will never sell a pet knowing it is sick or not eating. 


What do the letters mean?

Anything listed with 'a', 'b', 'g', 'sp1' and such are of the actual item for sale. We take pride in not using stock photos when possible!

Online shopping is hard and we hope to help alleviate the stress of surprises.

Remember plants and animals grow so not everything may be the same as when we first took photos. 

Feel free to ask for updated ones or come into the store to view.

Delivery and Pick Up
Do you deliver to Edmonton or surrounding area?

Yes! We understand not everyone drives for various reasons so we offer delivery within Edmonton and the surrounding areas (Sherwood Park, Devon, Spruce Grove, Leduc, Beaumont, St. Albert, Morinville). We are located in North Edmonton near Leon's 137 Ave.

The delivery fee must be paid prior to us leaving and the rates are listed at check out for your area. Selecting the incorrect delivery area will result in another invoice being sent for the difference


I'm not in Edmonton, can you ship?

Yes! We offer shipping with the best rates possible. 

For live pets/feeders, we ship ship Monday and Tuesday depending on weather, holidays and closures from either end of service. We do not ship without the purchaser's payment for shipping cost and an agreed upon day.


We do not ship during weather extremes, the animal(s), live feeders or plants will be held with us until safe to do so. Heat packs will be added to the cost during winter shipping.


The courier service chosen will depend on your service area and the best rate possible. All options will be tracked. Check your online account for tracking number. Losses are not covered for reattempted deliveries or courier errors. 


The shipping cost is calculated in a separate invoice. EMAIL AHEAD if you want a quote prior to checking out. **Any orders canceled due to shipping terms will be subject to 25% restock fee.**


Feeders: Reptile Runner, Reptile Express, Canada Post, Purolator, CanPar. Usually within 2 day delivery.

Live Animals: Reptile Runner, Reptile Express (Overnight only. Some locations are 2 days. 3 Day travels are not shipped.)

Dry Goods (no live anything combined): Canada Post, Purolator, CanPar, FedEx, UPS


  • -PO boxes are not permitted for live.
  • -Can ship to a FedEx Ship Office to hold for you (not a Staples, only standalone office) Ask us for details 
  • -Shipping to Calgary is apx $50-$75
  • -Shipping to Ontario area is apx $120-$140

Rates too high? Join your local reptile group and find someone to split shipping! We can accommodate group orders.


For dry goods, we have to manually calculate at this time, please contact.

For glass terrariums and aquariums, we do not ship due to breakage risks. 



The last day to ship is December 1st due to delays due to holiday orders. We resume service in January after the holidays but its usually too cold until end of January. Live animals are only shipped during warmer days when it is safe. Consider ordering ahead of time.


All live feeder, animal or plant orders are shipped with a 40 hour heat pack and added to the shipping cost. 

Can I pick up from you?

Yes! Our retail store is located in the red building at 14026 141 Street NW Edmonton Alberta T6V 1H7. 

Monday: 11am - 6pm

Tuesday - Friday: 11am-7pm

Saturday: 11am-6pm

Sunday: 11am-5pm

Can you recommend a veterinary clinic for my reptile?

Yes! We work with Harvest Point Veterinary Clinic in South Edmonton. Every doctor there treats in reptiles and small animals. If your reptile requires overnight care, they are fully equipped with specialized enclosures.
