Reptisoil, Zoo Med Forest Floor, Zilla Jungle Mix, or a well balanced bioactive soil
blend works extremely well.
Basking area: 95-100f
Ambient: 78-85f
Night: 72f low
Humidity around 50-70% especially important for young tortoises
Linear UVB: % based off distance to the shell
Heat lamp: halogen
Diet: Herbivores: dark leafy greens including dandelion greens, collard greens, endive,
escarole, mustard greens, bok choy, turnip greens, and hibiscus leaves, flowers, other edible flowers. Variety is key. Adding a commercially prepared diet into rotation such as Repashy Grassland Grazer, Mazuri Tortoise diet is beneficial.
